To Reserve the Right to Execute Gay People

tumblr_la2xii46Ad1qzp9wro1_500

I saw this on Stuff That Makes Me Hard!  How sad is this?

To reserve the right to execute gay people:

The Maddow Blog: A new U.N. resolution [which] condemns the arbitrary execution of whole classes of humanity, from street kids to indigenous groups, was to have included sexual minorities, but a bunch of nations balked at protection for LGBTs. The U.N. General Assembly then approved an amendment that removed them from the list. The vote was 79-70. Here’s the list of countries that want to reserve the right to kill the gay:

Afghanistan, Algeria, Angola, Azerbaijan, Bahamas, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Belize, Benin, Botswana, Brunei Dar-Sala, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, China, Comoros, Congo, Cote d’Ivoire, Cuba, Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Democratic Republic of Congo, Djibouti, Egypt, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Ghana, Grenada, Guyana, Haiti, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Jamaica, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Kuwait, Lebanon, Lesotho, Liberia, Libya, Madagascar, Malawi, Malaysia, Maldives, Mali, Morocco, Mozambique, Myanmar, Namibia, Niger, Nigeria, Oman, Pakistan, Qatar, Russian Federation, Rwanda, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and Grenadines, Saudi Arabia, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Africa, Sudan, Suriname, Swaziland, Syrian Arab Republic, Tajikistan, Tunisia, Uganda, United Arab Emirates, United Republic of Tanzania, Uzbekistan, Viet Nam, Yemen, Zambia, Zimbabwe

Yeah, a whole list of backwards, near Third World countries (China excepted, but hey, they still think Communism works). Plus the Middle East. And where was the US? Sure as hell not lobbying our so-called "allies" in the Middle East or elsewhere. Makes me mad, but I have no idea about what to do about it.
Peace <3

Jay, I don't know what we can do about it either, but I wish the world would realize that if they all agree (and most do) that Hitler was wrong to kill Jews, Homosexuals, Gypsies, etc., on a massive scale, that it cannot be alright to condone the right for a country to execute homosexuals, merely because they are homosexuals. We are born homosexual and let's face it, you can't kill someone because of their genetics.

So what happened to South Africa? I thought they wrote gay rights into their constitution when they overthrew apartheid?

Grisby, no matter how enlightened a country may seem, it doesn't mean they always stand by their ideals. American can be a great example of this.

My French is terrible. It is a language I could barely learn to speak enough to order food when I was in France. I ran this through Google Translator, so hopefully, it isn't too bad of a translation.
