Short Post

This will be a short post.  Last night I had one of the worst headaches I've had in months.  Medicine and sleep didn't phase it all day yesterday.  I'm hoping it will be better today.
The good news is that I am giving my last exam today.  If they all pass the class, I will have no more students until August 12.  I still have a teacher workday tomorrow, but that's just taking care of some administrative loose ends.  I am so glad that this year is over.  I've had some of the worst students I've ever dealt with this year, and luckily, most of them are graduating tomorrow night.

Here's hoping you have a great summer. With no headaches -- of the physical or student kind!

Joe, I am so very sorry you continue to have such horrible headaches. Please see your doctor on the chance your meds need to be adjusted. Wishing you well, and hoping your summer will be all you desire.

Susan, I already have an appointment to see my doctor. He wants to give this medicine three months to get completely in my system and a chance to work. It's very frustrating because I think a new cluster had started even though one of the medicines was supposed to prevent that.

My semester is coming to an end, too, and I am looking forward to the break. Classes have not been too bad, but there were extra responsibilities that got totally out of hand. BTW, I teach at the university level, which I find much more enjoyable than my mercifully brief stint of teaching high school. Hope something like that can open up for you, although I know the job market for these jobs is not great.

Here's hoping the meds kick in and give you some extended relief. I have a friend who has suffered from cluster headaches for many years and I have seen how debilitating it can be. On the brighter side, he is one of the most brilliant people I know, so maybe that's a sign of your own genius. And he has two doctorates, which he managed to do despite the headaches. You will be fine.

I keep searching for a college job, because I do much prefer teaching college than teaching high school.

Get better soon!

You made it! We're stuck until June 12th. Anyway, I hope you feel better, and make it through the graduation ceremony without pain. You can rejoice each and every time one of your atrocious seniors walks across the stage!

Peace <3
