He would not stay for me, and who can wonder

He would not stay for me, and who can wonder
A. E. Housman, 1859 - 1936

He would not stay for me, and who can wonder?
He would not stay for me to stand and gaze.
I shook his hand, and tore my heart in sunder,
And went with half my life about my ways.

I liked this poem specially because it touches me so much.

I met a nice Chineese 36yo man: we met in 2011 but remet in 2014.
I was and still am in love with him. He is tall, hairless, a great kisser and very gentle man.
Two days ago, he wanted to come and visit me again BUT as a friend.

So, I said no to him because it would have been too painful for me to see him by my side just as a «friend», not able to kiss or cuddle him.

Sometime, life let you meet that kind of «sweetheart» you could live your life with BUT, it's a one way love... No future..
