We became good friends, played sports together and watched sporting events together. Then he went off to college.

40 years later, I ran into that guy. Our friendship picked up right where it left off and we still have the same chemistry, though he is married and we have done nothing physical. But we are very good friends again.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5356114186987252972.post-16248323635055276312014-05-12T19:16:29.133-04:002014-05-12T19:16:29.133-04:00And who says prayers are not answered!!! But he resisted my fumbling advances, only to come out to me many years later when I visited him back in the same town. I came out to him, but he was married, so I couldn't make a move. Sadly, he died a few years ago from complications from AIDS. I just remember how much I was attracted to him on so many levels, even way back then.

Good luck on the Grindr trail!

Peace <3
JayAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5356114186987252972.post-3506963418377795512014-05-12T13:00:58.591-04:002014-05-12T13:00:58.591-04:00That's cool! That's cool about the kid living so close to you and knowing him from when you were younger.Mikehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03866077134601099787noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5356114186987252972.post-6096107309000307582014-05-12T10:26:31.866-04:002014-05-12T10:26:31.866-04:00Good for you!Good for you!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5356114186987252972.post-80510814771645818862014-05-12T08:51:04.394-04:002014-05-12T08:51:04.394-04:00I hope this deepens into friendship, at least.
A...I hope this deepens into friendship, at least.

A former college apartment-mate (on whom I had a major crush) found me through my blog a few years back, and we have renewed and deepened our friendship after a gap of forty years.

He is gay, too, and had things been different in time and space ... But I am now married and he is in a long-term relationship. He still looks hot, though, IMHO, for a guy in his early 60s.

We enjoy frequent communication, read one another's writing, and hop -- someday, somewhere -- to be able to sit down over a cup of coffee. Meanwhile, I am happy to have him back in my life -- even if he is half a country away.Michael Doddhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00942287172727040371noreply@blogger.com
