The Best Kind of Busy

Today is going to be a long and busy day, but thankfully, I’ll be doing the parts of my job that I love most. I’ll be playing host to a special guest, which includes taking him out for a nice dinner tonight. I’ll also be spending part of the day teaching and giving a tour.

It’s going to be one of those days when I’ll be going from one thing to the next with hardly a moment to catch my breath, but I’m actually looking forward to it. As much as I complain about being busy, I really do love what I do, especially when I get to interact with people, share history, and show a little Southern hospitality.

By the time I get home tonight, I expect I’ll be exhausted, but hopefully, it will be the good kind of exhaustion that comes from a long, productive, and enjoyable day. Sometimes, being busy isn’t such a bad thing, especially when you’re doing something you love.
