I just got HRH back from the vet. She is still sedated, and sleeping peacefully. She has a urinary tract infection. The veterinarian gave her some fluids, an antibiotic injection, and some medicine for her to take for seven days. I was told she should be feeling much better in about two or three days. I will have to take her back next week for a check up. In all, my poor sick girl will cost me about $200, but for the love and companionship I have received from her over the last 15 years (and hopefully, many years to come), it is absolutely worth it.
The cat does not offer services. The cat offers itself. Of course he wants care and shelter. You don't buy love for nothing.
If any one would like to contribute to an HRH fund, you can do so by clicking the donation button on the top right in the sidebar. Thanks!
I do hope she'll be OK. I was at my sister's for Christmas, and her elderly dog and two elderly cats cost a fortune in vet bills, but they are worth every penny.
ReplyDeleteI checked in, hoping for an update. Glad it sounds promising.
ReplyDeleteShe looks so much like our Sophie. The money is well spent on making them better or keeping them healthy. I never complain (or try not to) about vet bills.
ReplyDeleteI'm purchasing a almost 2yo Serengeti cat named «Thomas» and I'm so eager to have him home after Christmas Holidays...
ReplyDeleteThe lady selling him is keeping him because I'm at my relatives place for the Holidays and as I bought him just on Déc.18, one day before leaving, it would have been too painful for Thomas to be at my place in such a short time..
Serengeti cats are very active and they love water too...
Playful and sociable too...
I can understand that a pet is part of our lives and gives us so much love too...
Hope all will be fine with HRH.
Happy Holidays to all of your family.
HRH, Get Well Soon!!!
ReplyDeleteI've lagged in my reading of your blog, so I'm just now finding out about your aunt and HRH. I certainly join you in hoping that both will be well.
ReplyDeleteBTW, thanks for the analysis of "Baby, It's Cold Outside."
Interesting. I commented earlier, and you responded, but now they are both gone! Blogger at its finest.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, to chime in, I am sooo glad HRH will be getting better fast! I know how much he means to you.
Peace <3

Thank you, everyone for your well wishes. She's still groggy from the sedation earlier, but I'm confident she is on the mend.
ReplyDeleteJay, the reason you can't see the comment here is because you commented on my mirror blog on Wordpress, which is also where I replied. I post the exact same posts on Wordpress as a back-up, and have found that I now have two sets of followers. Thank you for both of your comments.
Ah-ha! I should have noted the shortened URL on Twitter was "wp". I thought it was very different as to template, etc. so I figured that you were changing things up!

Yep, Jay, Wordpress allows you to "publicize" on Twitter, but Blogger doesn't, so I let the Wordpress link automatically post to twitter. There is a lot I like about Wordpress, but there is also a lot I like about blogger. Each has it's own quirks.
ReplyDeleteI think there's a Twitter gadget for Blogger, and there's probably code that can be inserted into the template that will do it. My posts are automatically posted to Twitter, now that I think about it!
ReplyDeleteJay
Glad she is well. :) Such a cute cat!
