First off, since neither FedEx or UPS would bring my deliveries up to my apartment, I had to carry them all up the stairs. That really pissed me off. Anyway, I got it all up to my apartment and then began the task of assembling everything. With a few short breaks here and there I got all but one piece put together. My hands are so sore though that I can barely type, in fact it hurts quite a bit. It really was a busy day. I can't wait for my new mattress to arrive today. I'll probably just make up the bed, strip naked, and snuggle in for a nap.
Considering you are only one flight up, that doesn't say much for FedEx or UPS. I wonder if this is a company rule or just sheer laziness. View this experience as one more challenge you overcame, Joe—perhaps a little battered, but not certainly nowhere near beaten.
ReplyDeleteI am sorry your hands are sore. Be kind and gentle with them over the next few days. If you feel you can hold off on assembling that final piece from yesterday, consider doing that. And good luck with the mattress. (((Hugs)))
Need a pillow for the bed? Or maybe a lap to rest the head upon.....
ReplyDeleteCall on one of your followers to be that resting place....
And, for your phone service, do NOT use AT&T if any other service is available!!! We are having major difficulties that outfit....

For a phone provider, I'm with FIDO for more than 12 years and I love it. No problems even when I go to Delaware, States. It works everywhere.
I have a cellphone AND a home IP phone too and I pay $60/month (Can) for both and many features. Free calls in or out.
Hope your bed will be confortable and also hope you'll find someone to cuddle too in it.. ;-)
