As I've had all week, I had a great day yesterday. I even made some significant progress in figuring out the two very different filing systems of my predecessors. It's all on the computer but finding it on there and knowing where to start has been a bit of an issue. I'm getting there though and making slow but steady progress. However, after I got home, I started feeling a little sick. I had a headache and just felt wonky, if you know what I mean. I just felt off. Therefore, this is a short post. I didn't feel up to writing much more.
This first week was going to be difficult. You've had to deal with finding your way through someone else's "old" job and trying to create your "new" one, getting used to the time change and the unseasonable cold—even for Vermont—change in the weather. No surprise you are feeling "wonky" and a little off. This is definitely a period of adjustment, and will be for a while. Take it easy this weekend and try to get lots of rest and quality sleep. Eventually it will all come together. (((Hugs)))

Enjoy the peace of Vermont too...
Take care..
PS.- Last evening, my new «flame», Adel, phoned me for the first time and I could feel him very warm and open minded.... He is in Montreal only since 2011 and like it. He even told me that he was tired after his work day and would surely need a massage...LOL !.. AND I told him that I was good at it...
Forgot to say that I'm so amazed by those little ears as on the photo of that «gorgeous» guy here..
ReplyDeleteWOOOOFFFF! And his hair and....All ....RE-WOOOFFFF !
A suggestion. You mentioned that your new job has great benefits, presumably including medical. Also presumably Vermont has great medical facilities. What about seeing if the medical coverage includes specialist investigation and treatment of the headaches? The Academic
ReplyDeleteHey, you have just been through a seismic change in your life. Everything is new and different, nothing is ths same. Perhaps even a little homesick? If you were not in a bit of an emotional funk after all you have been through, you would not be human.
ReplyDeleteYou've been busy and adjusting to new surroundings. Your body has to catch up on it's rest. I hope you get to feeling better soon.
