I have to take my car in to be serviced today. My air conditioner has died, my tires need to be serviced, and my oil needs to be changed. I hate going to a mechanic. Everyone I've ever dealt with when servicing my car always tried to get me to spend more money than necessary, and sadly, I don't know enough about cars to know the difference. Luckily, I have found a garage up here that is well trusted. It's actually owned by a woman, and from all accounts, she never tries to cheat her customers. She did great work last time I took my car to her, so I'm hoping the same will be true this time. It's nice that this place is giving me a loaner car for the day.
Hope everything goes well, Joe, and it sounds as if you have recovered from your fever.

Air conditioning problems can be your most expensive cost.
ReplyDeleteMine for my 2007 Kia Sportage failed during last holidays so the repair, a new compressor for the AC cost me $1000 (Can).
For you tires, the best for you is to put NITROGEN in them: nitrogen keeps its pressure what ever the temperature AND it's safer to avoid blow out of a tire.
Must admit that I'm a «car man»: I even used to change my oil, brake pads etc. by myself.
PS, Also, when I had my last oil change at my Kia dealer, I have put synthetic oil because that oil is more performant, stays smooth in all weather and the limit to change it is less often. So synthetic oil is the best one to put in a car.
