Monday Is Here Again

I almost forgot to write a post for today. I'd spent the evening watching the Netflix series Altered Carbon, which is a really gritty and gruesome series. I don't know why I keep watching it, but I'm hooked on it now and only have a few more episodes to watch. Did anyone watch the Oscars last night? I obviously didn't, but did see some of the outfits on Twitter. I keep thinking to myself: what was Adam Rippon thinking with that outfit? I guess we all have our styles. One person commented, "When you have to go to the Academy Awards at 8 and the Eagle at 11." If you haven't seen it, here's the outfit:

  1. Didn't care for the faux tux. Wonder what Sally Field thought.

  2. I rather liked the outfit.

Several years back when I handled Congressional relations for a governmental agency, my lover and I kind of did this in reverse.

We had tickets to the pre-inaugural spectacular the night before the ceremony. Sinatra, Baryshnikov, and a multitude of others. Of course the dress was black tie. The Washington DC eagle at the time was located two blocks over and around a corner from the DC convention center. After the show was over, I suggested that we amble over to the Eagle and have a drink or two in our tuxes.

It was great fun and we probably could have picked up a goodly portion of the bar. Instead we had a couple of drinks and headed home, stripped off the tuxes and had VERY hot sex on the carpeted floor.

    Truly a night to remember.
