I’m still sick. I don’t feel any better than I did on Monday when I saw the doctor. I’m still have a fever, headache, sore throat, and a persistent cough. I thought the codeine cough syrup would help, but it did not phase the coughing. It did however allow me some sleep. I want some relief. I called the doctor’s office yesterday to ask to come back in for further evaluation, and I was told a nurse would call me back. No one called me back. Rest assured, I’ll be calling them first thing this morning.
Ugh, that sucks, and not in a good way. I hope you feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteSounds like the flu. I hope it clears up very soon now.
ReplyDeleteActually, it’s worse than the flu, it’s pneumonia. I had a chest x-ray done today.
ReplyDeleteAll my best wishes to cure it.
ReplyDeleteI had pneumonia many years ago and in FULL summer time.
It took almost two months to get rid of it and I couldn't go swimming during it.
The worse was that as soon as I went back teaching in September, it came back.
So take care and be careful after you'll be cured because you'll be more fragile after.
Now, I have no more issues with pneumonia but I'm more careful when I have some sick people near me.
Dear Joe, I came back late last night from a wonderful ten days in Honolulu, with sun, warmth, swimming in the hotel's outdoor pool (virtually no one in it before 8.00am), and lots of walking. This morning I opened your blog for the first time which I left home. Your condition makes me so sad and makes me feel so lucky. All I can do is to send you my commiserations and my sympathy, Roderick
ReplyDeleteI've had pneumonia twice, hospitalized for it once. Are you on an antibiotic? If not, you should be, and don't let them give you just a Z Pack. Nothing to fool around with.
ReplyDeleteRichard, even though this is viral pneumonia, one of the doctors that looked at the chest x-ray said she saw some bacterial pneumonia as well. They were going to give me a z pack, but I’m highly allergic to it. I ended up with doxycycline. It seems to be making some improvement. I will know as the day goes on and how I feel tomorrow.
