  2. Hi Joe! How are you? What's happening with your tooth and with life in general? Maybe the jeep is attractive because of its association with WW2. Roderick

    1. I feel it’s more non conformist and an expression of doing your own thing. For many it’s jeep or a motorcycle. Jeep’s safer and more versatile. But I do agree is it’s popularity is based in WW2 as are biker gangs

  3. Roderick, let's just say that I am glad I have my trimonthly appointment with my doctor tomorrow. My tooth seemed to be getting better, but last night was a rough night. It could have been because I aggravated by eating something that bothered it, or it could be the infection coming back. It is still a bit bothersome this morning. Also, I am still seeing the side effects of the antibiotic. At least I can say that my hip seems to be doing a little better.

As for life, not much is happening. I haven't felt like doing much. I made a new recipe yesterday, Crispy Cheese Wafers (https://www.southernliving.com/recipes/crispy-cheese-wafers-recipe). These are so good. I was leery of the rice crispies in the recipe, but it works, and the recipe's suggestion to have them with cream cheese and pepper jelly is exceptionally good. In the future though, I'd half the amount of cayenne in the recipe.

My attraction to Jeeps may have to do with its association with WW2, but in the TV show Queer as Folk, Brian always drove a Jeep, and he made it seems so sexy. I've wanted one since then, but I probably wanted one earlier than that. My dad used to own a red Willys (the original Jeep). It was in bad shape: no brakes, manual windshield wipers, and makeshift seats, but I loved that vehicle. I was very sad when he sold it to someone. I had hoped we'd fix it up, and it would be mine.
