I just need a mental health break from everything. I still have to work today, but I wish I could stay at home, shut everything off, and just be alone. I can’t do it, but I wish I could.

You said you're not going to have a vacation anytime soon because it costs too much to travel. I'd suggest taking some of your vacation time by scheduling a vacation day (or two) every week or two — not necessarily long weekends, but some midweek breaks.

ReplyDeleteEveryone, emotionally, I am feeling a bit better. I've just had a migraine all day due to severe weather passing through the state.
ReplyDeleteJimNS, I'm not sure which blog was associated with Razz. I really should clean out those old blogs more often. Some, I have kept because even though the blog is not longer active, they still contain some great information.
ReplyDeleteJimNS RazzWas a Brit who came to study in Michigan, where he and a guy named Jay fell in love with each other in there first year there. Razz had a larger-than-life personality overflowing with charm and good cheer. Unfortunately, he broke a leg one day while running. After months during which the break failed to heal, he was diagnosed with bone cancer, and within months he died of it. Through it all, even when he knew he wouldn't survive, he maintained his positive and cheerful outlook. I created the blog Remembering Razz to preserve as much as I could of his own blog so that people could continue to be indpired by his fine qualities and sorry the we lost him so young.
