The basket must contain eggs that are traditionally eaten for Easter because we don't eat them during Lent . We eat them in an omelet (even sweet), in a mimosa egg : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0kb6Isy90BA . The recipe is very simple: hard boiled eggs cut in 2, the yolk is crushed, a part is mixed with mayonnaise , the other part is used for decoration with parsley.
We call those deviled eggs, uvdp. I personally can’t stomach them because I hate boiled eggs, but they are traditional for special occasions, including Easter, in the southern United States.
