I do not get a holiday for Indigenous Peoples Day/Columbus Day. I have to work, but I’m moving a bit slowly this morning. I hope everyone has a good week.

Here in Canada it's our «Thanks Giving» holiday but not as much celebrated as in yours in USA.
ReplyDeleteIn Province of Québec we are mostly Catholics but not much are practicing so this celebration is just another off work day in the year.
Even back in the 60's or 70's with my family, we didn't do special meal for this occasion.

JiEL, my birthday is November 30, yesterday was the anniversary of me moving to Vermont.
ReplyDeleteAquí, en España, hemos celebrado el día de la HISPANIDAD con un gran desfile presidido por la Familia Real Española.
ReplyDeleteRecuerdo cuando aún vivía el dictador Franco y todos odiabamos al ejercito y a las Fuerzas del Orden Publico... o sea las distintas policías represoras de la dictadura. Actualmente la democracia ha hecho una gran limpieza en estas instituciones y ahora sí podemos decir que admiramos a nuestros ejércitos y a nuestras policías, aunque a veces la policía usa métodos demasiado represores pero sin llegar a lo ocurrido en EE.UU. con las personas de color.
