Gus Kenworthy

Just days after he came out, Olympian Gus Kenworthy was asked a question many gay and lesbian people dread on Twitter by a random user. But Kenworthy handled it so well, and we can't think of a more perfect way to respond to such a cringeworthy inquiry.
"Are you the man or the woman in the relationship? That's all I need to know right now," the user wrote.
Kenworthy, 24, followed up with:
In a relationship I am the man. As is the other man. I'm gay. Not trying to emulate a heterosexual relationship. https://t.co/AJwyskECWf

The professional freeskier, who nabbed a silver medal at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, revealed his sexuality in a simply-worded tweet posted on Oct. 22.
"I am gay," he wrote.
The tweet was accompanied by a photo of the athlete on the cover of ESPN Magazine. The new issue, which hits newsstands on Oct. 30, features an in-depth profile on Kenworthy, in which he recalls his early struggles with his sexuality.
"You're constantly lying and constantly feeling like you're being deceitful," he said in a video on ESPN that was produced in conjunction with the article. "I'm just at that point where I'm ready to open up and let everyone see me for me and I hope everyone accepts it."

The definitive answer to a question that unfortunately continues to be asked.

Cannot believe people are still asking this in 2015. 1970, ok...

I suppose the charitable thing to assume is that some people are woefully ignorant. [But maybe that is not charitable, after all. Maybe I am just being condescending.] At any rate, Kenworthy is a class act and I am happy he is now free to be that to the fullest of his capacity.

For us in Canada, it's just another sport guy that is making a statement about his homosexuality.

We have many men from sport, actor or even politician that are known and openly gay that for us, it's just mainstream.

We saw Michael Sam come here in Montreal to play for the Alouettes. It was a big news but no one did make a fuzz because he was openly gay.

So, for Kenworthy, he did the right thing and is just another young sport man to be a role model to help those young guys to come out and feel better.

As "Vilges Suola" said, we're in 2015 not in the 60's or 70's.

Must notice that it might be different in «south of the Canadian border»..

USA need to catch up in the 21st century's life...

Saw a cartoon once of a knife and fork asking a pair of chopsticks, "Which one of you is the fork?" Hopefully the ignorance of the question asked of Kenworthy is on the decline.

Forgot to mention about the question (ridiculous often asked by shallow minded heteros..). Who is the bottom or is doing the «female» part?

Is such disgusting because is refers to the old times or way of thinking where women were considered inferior to men.....

Like that joke asking: who will pay for te wedding? (The bottom's father..)

As a MAN loving MEN, I just think that ALL ways to love a man are the good ones...

Personally I love to «flip-flop» and make sure we both have satisfaction...

To me «top or bottom» is an aberration. A non sens...
