Walk with the Wise

He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed. ( Proverbs 13:20 ) 

We can all learn a thing or two from who we spend time with.  The question is whether the person we spend time with is making us a better person in turn.  When we are around others we begin to see different viewpoints, attitudes, and behaviors.  Over time, our minds embrace these thoughts which can make us either a healthier person or lead us down a foolish path.  Are you walking with wise people who share their wisdom to you?

Montreal

I have to work this morning then my friend and I are headed to Montreal. We are going to stop on the way and tour Ben and Jerry’s, because you really can’t come to Vermont without a visit to Ben and Jerry’s. After we get to Montreal we will settle into our hotel room then probably get dinner somewhere and roam through the gay village, just so she can see it. She can’t get into many of the places. Then we will head to the old city for Saturday, probably go to the Museum of Fine Arts, and just have a fun day in the city. I’m not for sure what we will do Sunday other than to go home.

Late Flights

My friend’s flight from Newark to Burlington was delayed over three hours, nearly four hours. I hate when they delay your flight but won’t tell you why. They never told her why. According to the United Airlines site, the incoming plane was delayed and then there were mechanical issues. So I waited at home until the flight actually took off. With me getting back in late last night, it’s going to be a pain going to work this morning.

Best Friend

My best friend is arriving tomorrow night to stay for nine days. It’s nice that she can come for this amount of time. I’ve gone and stayed with her for a month before. We’ve known each other for over 15 years. We met back in graduate school and have been friends every since. She’s nervous about coming up here because she’ll be leaving her baby with her husband, but I’m sure he is more than capable of handling the baby on his own. I say baby, but I think he’s two or three now. Oh how time flies. Anyway, I plan to have a great time while she’s here, even if I have to still work most days that she’s here. We will have a good time. We are going to Montreal this weekend. She’s never been to Canada before, so this will be a new experience.
