A blog about LGBTQ+ History, Art, Literature, Politics, Culture, and Whatever Else Comes to Mind. The Closet Professor is a fun (sometimes tongue-in-cheek, sometimes very serious) approach to LGBTQ+ Culture.
There are few things that give me as much pleasure as a warmed, lightly toasted bagel & a freshly ground — cup of whole bean — coffee first thing in the morning on wknds.
My youngest son saw your posting today, and brought to my attention; he also decided to “clown me” about drinking coffee in bed. Last year he (Jaiden) bought me a small coffee maker for my bathroom as a Father’s Day gift. (BTW, his mother is the one who brews a pot of it at the absolute “crack of dawn.”)
Most weekends, I grab my caffeine fix from the bathroom, fetch my iPad and sip coffee in bed while paying bills online. It’s the small things in life that add some of the great joys.
Peace & Wellness to all.
—— PS: Both she & I have been coffee addicts since undergrad. I fully admit, the sheer ease of just grabbing a cup without having to trod downstairs is really “Zenacious” — fake word.
Anonymous, it really warms my heart (and I’m jealousy) that you have the sort of relationship with your son that he can bring to your attention one of my posts. My dad and I never have and never will have that type of relationship. Your comment was my true Moment of Zen today. It was very…Zenacious. Thanks.
Hey Joe and other guys reading this blog. Just finished watching a movie, "Close" on showtime. It's the coming of age story of two teenage boys. It's been nominated for an academy award in the foreign films section. What a fabulous movie. Just be sure you have a box of tissues. A real tear jerker. Let me know what you think. Jim Ps. I'm gonna buy this one Worth watching again@

JiEL, if I had to pick one of those photos I thought you’d like best, I’d have picked the second one. I’m glad you liked it.
