The Morning After

The Morning After
By Benjamin Andrews

Awaking in the glow
the post coital bliss
your arms around me
wrapped in warmth
kisses on your whiskers

wishing i didn't have to go to work
your back arched
hands occupied
morning delights
waking up next to you
is something I'll never get used to
like a sunrise
its beautiful every time

Benjamin Andrews shares his writing on his Tumblr blog Voice of the Writer.  I came across this poem and really loved the imagery.  I hope you do as well.  Also, check out some of Benjamin's poetry and writings.

Says it like it is....would have used a photo of more mature (like myself) lovers, but as usual the posting is excellent!!! Reminds me of my feelings when I am with my love. Thanks, friend.

It is a very interesting poem.

I don't get Silver Eagles critique though, what does it matter what picture was used.

Thanks guys, Mind of Mine, I think silvereagle was making a bit of a joke. I used the younger guys in the picture because the poet is younger.
