If you are in the USA, you might have heard about the organization People’s Union USA calling for a nationwide boycott. They want today to be an economic blackout. This movement follows the rollback of diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives at several major companies, including Target, PepsiCo and others. (Coca-Cola and Apple have both refused to rollback DEI initiatives.) The boycott coincides with protests against President Dumbass's plans to reduce the government workforce and mass firings at federal agencies. The boycott began at midnight last night and will last for 24 hours. During this time, the organization encourages Americans not to buy anything — this includes gas, fast food, or shopping in-store or online at major retailers. If participants need to buy anything, they are encouraged to shop at local and small businesses. Essential items such as medicine, food and emergency supplies can still be bought.
I hope you’ll join in. The thing about boycotts is that if enough people don’t participate, then it won’t be successful. There had to enough of an economic impact to make a difference and to make the point your trying to make. So, please consider following this boycott and only buy locally today.

On this side of the border, Canada, we have a huge mouvement to boycot American products since your Orange felon president said he would put 50% and more tariffs on our natural resources and products.
Yesterday, our lumber producers are going to keep all their wood in their warehouse usually sold to USA in time you need to rebuild from all the nartural desasters.
I heard that some in USA are willing to import our eggs as you have a shortage and prices are stagering. Well no eggs should be crossing the border to me. BTW I paid $3,25 a dz of large ones last week.
Same should be done to keep our aluminum, steel, electricity and others to show this 47 crackpot that those tariffs will hurt your economy and Americans will be the ones who will pay the bill.
I am ready---For the boycott---To be forthright, I am in a daze----Just shuffling through my day hitting my marks----I follow Joe My God and look at the deadlines and may even dip in and read a few stories, comments, and may submit a few---I will always participate at the end of day open thread to get a gauge of what folks are thinking about, experiencing in life, and funny memes and such----I am just waiting for the hammer to come down----Here we have a president like a bull in a China closet---And his like ilk----We have learned that our US Constitution is fragile----We have laws that protect our democracy---Still, a lot is based on norms----I am sure our founding fathers did not dream of the place the US now finds themselves----I bet they would have had stricter guidelines----Yes, we have the courts---Still, they have been compromised----You have a US Supreme Court that is off the chain and we can work our way down----We have to save ourselves----We have to get into "good trouble"----As the corrected/desired path is a slow process we can hope in the midterms----I am just amazed of what DOGE is doing----Just think, a non elected official rummaging through our government under the guise of saving the government money----Trust me, I have cut budgets in my career and I can adamantly say the way they are doing it is not prudent----Some agencies have less than 10% of the total budget----The US has now had the great data breach in American history and it's our government doing it to us---I see now there is movement to have this current Administration to come before Congress for accountability----You know it will be all smoke a mirrors and more fodder for revenge and hate---I love what Michael Steele said----He boiled it all down by saying American has shown what it truly is---It's just that simple---I am rambling----Have a great Friday and weekend---
