"Samesies," a comedy sketch from writer/director John McKeever, is a satire featuring an early tribe of cavemen fighting its gay instincts, and shows that some arguments against gay marriage go all the way back to prehistoric times -- and sounded just as silly then.
A tribal leader calls the village together to declare there can be no more "samesies" for a while because the population is dwindling. How he explains their dilemma is history in the making (and echoes similar criticisms about the danger of homosexuality that certain retiring Congresswomen still espouse).
"Basically when we do samesies, no people come out," the leader says, adding later, "You waste the people juice when you do samesies."
The video has already collected more than 250,000 hits since being posted on YouTube on May 28, and has generated plenty of conversation on Reddit as well.

By the way, this is my last post with a Jane Austen pun-title.
