My best friend died in a car accident Sunday night. I found out just a short while ago. He meant everything to me, and my sorrow is beyond explanation. I'm not sure when I will return to blogging, but right now, I can do little else but cry.
I feel like my world has fallen out from under me.

I am deeply saddened by your loss, Joe. I hope your faith in God will help you find a small measure of peace during your sorrow. Love & (((Hugs)))
Joe, I'm so sorry to hear this. May your faith in God's love and in his promise of resurrection provide some hope at this terrible moment. May your friend, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
Sorry for your loss.
The two most human, most divine words in the gospel: "Jesus wept."
May your faith strengthen you in the assurance that those who live in the Lord -- and we may surely hope this for all -- never see one another for the last time.
Sending you love and healing thoughts.....
Praying for you my friend. And for your friend and his friend. Love to you and call upon the strength of the Lord he has given you.

My deepest sympathies for your loss. I treasure my friendships.
All my sympathies for that sudden sad lost.
Life is so cruel sometime when we see bad people still living and see the best ones go away in seconds...
Hope you'll be fine even if your badly affected.
Friends are often more important than some family members.
All my prayers for you.
My thoughts are with you this sad day.
I am so very sorry to hear this news about your loss. My thoughts are with you.
So sorry for your loss. May your good memories sustain you and his family and friends.
I'm so, so sorry for your loss. Please know you're in my thoughts and prayers. (((Hugs)))

Joe, A wise man once told me that when the grief subsides, the memories will be glorious. May God hold and comfort you while the grief subsides. My deepest sympathy.
So very sorry to hear that, Joe. My deepest sympathies.
I know a loss of that magnitude is horrific. I lost my partner over 8 years ago and the pain still has not gone away. Probably never will. But there will be better times ahead and happy memories to cherish for a lifetime.
Joe, My deepest sympathies you are in my thoughts and prayers.
Thoughts and prayers from Ottawa to you in Vermont, and to all his friends and family wherever they are. Big hugs to you.
Please accept my most sincere condolences for your loss.
Death is nothing at all.
I have only slipped away to the next room.
I am I and you are you.
Whatever we were to each other,
That, we still are.
Call me by my old familiar name.
Speak to me in the easy way
which you always used.
Put no difference into your tone.
Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow.
Laugh as we always laughed
at the little jokes we enjoyed together.
Play, smile, think of me. Pray for me.
Let my name be ever the household word
that it always was.
Let it be spoken without effect.
Without the trace of a shadow on it.
Life means all that it ever meant.
It is the same that it ever was.
There is absolute unbroken continuity.
Why should I be out of mind
because I am out of sight?
I am but waiting for you.
For an interval.
Somewhere. Very near.
Just around the corner.
All is well.
Nothing is past; nothing is lost. One brief moment and all will be as it was before only better, infinitely happier and forever we will all be one together with Christ.
