Nervous

You’re probably tired of hearing about this, but I’m tired of these abdominal pains. They continue to persist, and I have found no relief because they can’t find what’s wrong. I have my CT scan this morning. Hopefully, they’ll be able to find some answers. I leave Sunday for Pensacola to do my certified interpretive guide training. I really can’t afford to miss that. Too much money that’s non-refundable has already been spent.

Can only repeat the above comment. Possibly a change of place and pace may help you. Roderick

Have you used a heating pad or an ice pack to relieve the pain temporarily? I wish you well. Safe travels to Florida!

If you haven't been in Pensacola lately, you will be surprised. it's grown and become a great destination. And, the weather this time of year is great. If you need a guide, let me know. We have some superb restaurants, and I know most of the owners since I deal with them all the time. Plus we have the finest beaches in Florida, with white silky sand, and miles of seashore with no buildings whatsoever. But, don't tell anyone, we don't want to become too well known. :)

Monty, it helps a little bit.

Ex-Restaurant Manager, I haven't been to Pensacola in probably fifteen or twenty years, but have always loved the city. We used to go several times a year when I was a child and camp out at Ft. Pickens. We never did much exploring downtown, but since I will be staying downtown to be near the training center, I plan to explore some while I am there. I will have some time on Sunday, but really my only free day will be Friday and Saturday morning. Which restaurants downtown have the best food and should not be missed?

For dinner, my favorite is Global Grill. They specialize in small plates, or tapas if you prefer. Do not miss the asparagus! Another not to miss is McGuire's Irish Pub, they have the best steaks in town, get the Molly's Cut. They are not downtown, but a short Uber ride. You will not leave hungry. For lunch, try Carmen's Lunch Bar, great food prepared fresh. Another to try is Jaco's, with the best view of the water. If you have a Saturday morning open, there's Palafox Market, which takes over the median on Palafox between Garden Street and Wright Street. Many artists, food vendors and fun stuff.
