The church I tried out yesterday was really nice. It was a small congregation up about a dozen people, but they were all very kind and welcoming. I really enjoyed the service, and while the order of the service was different from a church back home, it was a very familiar service. I expect that I'll be going back.
In other news, it looks as if I will finally reach one of the goals I've had for the past seven or eight months. I finally was able to purchase a MacBook Air, and it will arrive, according to UPS, tomorrow by the end of the day. I had it delivered to work so I could make sure that I could sign for it. I'm excited because it means I will have a laptop again, and I can do more with my blog. Also, it will be easier to work on my novel.

Both items are great news, Joe. Finding your church again when you didn't think one existed in all of Vermont has got to feel like coming home. And being able to cross any item off a goal list is always good for the spirit. Congrats for achieving both!
Great news on a Monday morning!!! Congrats on both accounts!!!!!!\
Glad you found a church that feels like it can become home. Since CofC is strictly congregational in structure, one expects some things to vary from place to place. It is an interesting thing. Because each local community determines so much of its praxis and even beliefs, I can even imagine (if I squeeze my eyes and brain very tight) a CofC that is gay friendly.
Enjoy the new computer. And remember during the first frustrating days (they almost always are!) that tossing it down the toilet will merely harm the plumbing.
Belated PS -- "Also it will be easier to work on my novel." Sweet!
You will love your Air!
