Vaccinated

I had my second dose of the Pfizer COVID vaccine yesterday. For the first few hours, things went well. My arm started getting sore several hours after taking it, and as I write this, I am feeling some body aches. None of the side effects are too bad at this point. Last night, I was just hoping that I would feel fine this morning for my dental appointment. I hope that I can make some headway with my dentist about getting an earlier appointment. I’ll just have to see. Otherwise, today is going to be a pretty chill day since I am off work.

To celebrate getting my second shot, I made myself a nice dinner. I went by the grocery store next to the drugstore where I got my vaccine to get dinner for last night. I got some Brussel sprouts, corn, the store’s house recipe seasoned boneless skinless chicken breast, and some frozen Mason Dixie cheddar chive biscuits. I had never tried their house recipe chicken breasts before, and they were delicious and a bit tangy. I had also never tried any of the Mason Dixie products, but the cheddar chive biscuits had a pleasant taste, though they are much fluffier when I make them from scratch. Overall, it was a delicious meal and an excellent way to celebrate being vaccinated.

Joe, I am sure that all of your readers are happy that you treated yourself. We order in from restaurants about twice a week, which keeps us sane. Roderick

Roderick, cooking more at home and eating out less has helped me with some much needed weight loss. I still go out occasionally. If I’m feeling better tomorrow or Sunday (I’m feeling crappy today from the shot yesterday), I may go up to Burlington to Target to get a few things I need, and I’ll probably eat out while I’m up there.

Patrick, I’m glad you haven’t had any reaction to the shot. I hope that continues. I have a headache, soreness all over, and tiredness. Hopefully, this will be gone tomorrow.

Congrats on getting the 2nd shot for Covid-19. I got the J&J on 04-09 and had bad side effects for 3 days. This was worse than when I actually had the stupid virus last Oct. Good luck w/Dentist and be well

Jon's comment reminds me: how did it go with the dentist?

Naturgesetz, I talked to them about the July appointment and was told that everywhere is having the same problem with being booked like that. I was told to call them and see if they’ll do the extraction on the day of the consultation, which they sometimes do. I was also told to call around in Burlington to see if there were any appointments available sooner. Apparently, people are having good luck getting earlier appointments due to cancellations. I hope I can make some headway on Monday.

No problems with either of my shots. I received the Moderna.
